About the position

Our client is looking for a part-time Dental Hygienist to join our clients' team in a welcoming dental practice in South Adelaide.
This role is ideal for a Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist who wants to maintain clinical variety while keeping their weekly schedule balanced. The position is one weekday between Monday and Friday, plus every other Saturday, making it a great fit for someone looking for consistent part-time work without a full-week commitment.
You will work alongside experienced Dentists and a friendly support team, providing high-quality hygiene and preventative care in a calm and professional environment.
You will provide treatments such as scale and cleans, periodontal maintenance, gum health assessments, fluoride treatments, oral hygiene instruction, preventive care, fissure sealants and recall appointments. Depending on your scope and experience, there may also be opportunities to support whitening consultations and tailored maintenance programs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing high-quality hygiene and preventative dental care
• Performing scale and cleans, periodontal charting and perio maintenance
• Educating patients on oral hygiene, gum health and prevention
• Supporting recall programs and ongoing maintenance appointments
• Creating a calm, positive and reassuring patient experience
• Working closely with Dentists and the broader practice team
• Maintaining accurate clinical records and patient notes
• Upholding infection control and compliance standards
• Supporting smooth patient flow during weekday and Saturday sessions

Key Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist
• Experience providing preventative and periodontal care
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Warm, professional and patient-focused approach
• Ability to work well within a collaborative team environment
• Commitment to high clinical standards and infection control
• Previous experience in a dental practice setting preferred
• Availability for one weekday between Monday and Friday
• Availability to work every other Saturday
• Interest in building long-term patient relationships
