About the position

Our client is looking for a part-time Dental Hygienist to join our clients' team in a well-established dental clinic in the South Adelaide Area

This role is ideal for a Hygienist who enjoys working in a patient-focused environment with a strong emphasis on preventative care, periodontal maintenance and oral health education. You will work closely with the Dentists and support team to deliver a smooth, professional and positive experience for every patient.

You will be involved in a broad range of hygiene and preventative treatments, including scale and cleans, periodontal charting, gum disease management, fluoride treatments, oral hygiene instruction, preventive care, patient education and maintenance appointments. Depending on your scope and experience, there may also be opportunities to support whitening consultations, fissure sealants and ongoing care plans.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing high-quality hygiene and preventative dental care
• Performing scale and cleans, periodontal maintenance and gum health assessments
• Educating patients on oral hygiene, prevention and long-term care
• Supporting Dentists with treatment planning and ongoing patient care
• Maintaining accurate clinical notes and patient records
• Creating a calm, professional and positive patient experience
• Working collaboratively with the wider dental team
• Ensuring infection control and clinical standards are maintained
• Supporting recalls, maintenance programs and patient retention

Key Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist
• Previous experience in a dental practice environment preferred
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Confident providing preventative and periodontal care
• Professional, warm and patient-focused approach
• Ability to work well within a supportive team environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to clinical standards
• Knowledge of infection control and compliance requirements
• Availability for part-time hours
