  • Social, inclusive culture with high-quality construction work
About the Client:

Our client is a specialist firm with a strong reputation advising corporate clients across Australia. They’re known for pairing top-tier matters with a people-first culture—where flexibility is practical, development is ongoing, and teams enjoy working together.

About the Position:

Our client is looking for a Senior Associate (5+ PAE) with a back-end construction disputes background to join our clients’ team within a well-regarded Construction, Projects & Infrastructure practice.
You’ll work alongside experienced partners on significant matters across Queensland and nationally, with exposure to work such as:
  • High-value construction and engineering disputes
  • Claims involving delay, disruption, defects and variations
  • Security of Payment strategy and adjudication preparation
  • Contract interpretation issues and dispute avoidance advisory
  • Acting for principals, contractors, developers, subcontractors and insurers
This is a role for someone who wants stimulating disputes, real client contact, and the ability to work in a way that supports life outside the office.

Key Requirements:
  • 5+ years’ PAE in construction disputes / construction litigation (back-end focus)
  • Strong written work product and the ability to communicate clearly with clients
  • Sound technical grasp of construction contract principles and dispute processes
  • Organised, calm under pressure and able to juggle competing deadlines
  • A positive, team-oriented approach
On Offer: If flexibility and team culture matter to you, our client has built the role around both:

Hybrid + flexibility that works in practice
  • WFH / hybrid arrangements available, tailored to your experience, autonomy and billings
  • A culture that supports sensible flexibility—focused on outcomes, not presenteeism
  • Supportive resourcing and collaboration to help you meet deadlines without burnout
Benefits that back your wellbeing and lifestyle
  • Wellbeing program + annual wellbeing allowance
  • Access to mental health support and a workplace trained to support it
  • Additional leave initiatives, including flexible, gender-neutral paid parental leave
  • Public holiday swap policy for added personal flexibility
A team you’ll actually enjoy being part of
  • Engaged leaders who are approachable and invested in their people
  • Active social calendar, weekly morning teas and a friendly, inclusive environment
  • Meaningful D&I programs with committees that create real participation and change
