Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Lawyer to take ownership of a mixed caseload spanning Family Law and Wills & Estates. You’ll be trusted to manage matters independently from first appointment to resolution—whether that’s via negotiation, mediation, or litigation—while also playing a key role in guiding junior team members.

Salary and features of the position:
  • $150,000 - $180,000 Salary range + Performance Bonuses
  • A stable, ongoing flow of family and estates matters (no “empty desk” risk)

  • Recognition and rewards program (redeemable for products/experiences/vouchers)
  • Referral and incentive commission bonus opportunities
  • Ongoing professional development and CPD support
  • A team culture that values accountability, resilience, and genuine collaboration
About the position:

You’ll be trusted to manage matters independently from first appointment to resolution—whether that’s via negotiation, mediation, or litigation—while also playing a key role in guiding junior team members.

Family Law
  • Parenting and property matters (including complex financial structures)
  • Divorce and separation pathways and strategy
  • Financial agreements and negotiated settlements
  • Appearances for mentions, directions, interim and final hearings
Wills & Estates
  • Wills, Powers of Attorney, Enduring Guardianship, and succession planning
  • Probate and Letters of Administration applications
  • Estate administration, distributions, and stakeholder correspondence
  • Liaising with banks, super funds and relevant authorities to collect assets
You’ll also contribute to a collaborative team environment—supporting file readiness, lifting drafting standards, and helping the practice continue to grow through strong outcomes and client experience.

Key Requirements:
  • Admitted Solicitor in NSW with solid post-admission experience (senior level) 5 PQE +
  • Strong working knowledge of Family Law procedures and court processes
  • Demonstrated experience in estate planning, probate, and estate administration
  • Confident advocacy, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills
  • Excellent drafting capability (court documents + estate planning instruments)
  • Ability to run files autonomously and maintain clear client communication
  • Experience supervising/mentoring juniors (or readiness to step into leadership)
