Job Description

Our client is a respected specialist Plaintiff Personal Injury law firm based in Sydney CBD. Due to continued growth in institutional abuse and compensation claims, the firm is seeking an experienced Plaintiff Personal Injury Lawyer to join the team.
  
This 30 staff firm has built a strong reputation in institutional abuse claims, serious injury compensation and complex plaintiff matters. Lawyers are trusted, not micromanaged, and the focus is always on doing quality work while looking after one another.

About the Position:

This role will see you working on complex institutional abuse claims and plaintiff personal injury matters, collaborating closely with senior leadership in a specialist compensation law environment.
You will manage files from intake through to resolution, working directly with vulnerable clients and guiding them through sensitive and high-impact matters.
Work will include:
  • Institutional abuse compensation claims
  • Historical abuse matters and civil litigation
  • Plaintiff personal injury disputes
  • Mediation, negotiation and settlement strategy
  • Court-based litigation where required
This is meaningful work with real human impact.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Managing institutional abuse and plaintiff PI files end-to-end
  • Drafting pleadings, statements, submissions and evidence
  • Attending mediations and settlement conferences
  • Advising clients clearly and compassionately
  • Working collaboratively within a specialist litigation team
Key Requirements:
  • 3 years + PQE Experience in plaintiff personal injury law (institutional abuse experience highly regarded)
  • Strong litigation and drafting capability
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism
  • Excellent file management and communication skills
  • Desire to work within a humble, close-knit team environment
