An award-winning top-tier law firm with Sydney CBD offices has a unique and rewarding position available for an Associate or Senior Associate level Insurance Lawyer to join their collaborative and high-achieving insurance team.

The role: 

It focuses on Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers and Liability. This includes providing advice on indemnity, liability, quantum and strategy for resolution and defending claims against solicitors, barristers, engineers, accountants and other financial services, estate agents and medical practitioners. In this role, you will be working with Insurance Partners who are independently recognised as experts in their field.

Day to Day and about the Position: 

• File management including meeting deadlines and managing documents
• Reviewing the evidence and preparing advice on indemnity, liability and quantum
• Communicating with clients both in writing and verbally
• Identifying issues, briefing experts and analysing opinion
• Preparing court documents, including statements of evidence
• Drafting correspondence and communicating with other practitioners
• Preparing for, managing online processes and appearing in Court
• Briefing and liaising with counsel

Requirements : 

• Previous insurance and litigation experience within the professional indemnity space. 
• 3 years  -5 years + PQE within Insurance Law  
• Positive / go-getter attitude 
• Friendly nature and collaborative.
