Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Litigation and Insolvency Lawyer to join a high-performing team in Sydney. You will work directly with four respected partners, balancing independent carriage of smaller matters with collaboration on complex, large-scale litigation and insolvency files.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage debt recovery files independently from end-to-end
  • Contribute to large-scale insolvency disputes involving liquidators, administrators, and directors
  • Draft and prepare legal documents including statutory demands, bankruptcy notices, pleadings, subpoenas, and affidavits
  • Attend court for Directions Hearings and assist with hearing preparation
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to provide strategic legal advice
  • Be supported by mentoring, training and firm-wide career development programs

  • Salary range of $140,000 – $180,000 + super, negotiable depending on experience

Key Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-admission experience in commercial litigation and insolvency
  • Strong experience drafting statutory demands, bankruptcy notices, and litigation documents
  • Ability to work both autonomously and within a larger litigation team
  • Strong academic record (Credit average or above preferred)
  • Commercial mindset with clear, client-focused communication
  • Interest in mentoring junior team members and contributing to firm culture
