About the position:Due to ongoing growth, our client is seeking a skilled Associate, Senior Associate, or Special Counsel to join their commercial litigation and insolvency team.
In this role, you will:
- Lead and manage a range of litigation and insolvency matters from end to end
- Advise clients including liquidators, trustees, company directors, and creditors on complex financial disputes
- Draft high-quality legal advice, court documents, and strategy memos for clients across the corporate and advisory sectors
- Appear in various jurisdictions including Federal and Supreme Courts
- Mentor and supervise junior lawyers as part of your leadership path
- Work closely with the firm’s founder and Principal, a nationally recognised litigation and insolvency expert
- Be actively involved in client relationship management and practice development
Key Requirements - Minimum 4 years’ post-admission experience in commercial litigation or insolvency law
- Strong legal research, advisory and analytical skills
- Proven ability to manage files autonomously with sound judgement
- Experience drafting pleadings, affidavits, and board-level legal advice
- An ethical, proactive, and commercially minded approach
- Desire to mentor junior staff and contribute to team leadership
- A genuine interest in progressing to a more senior role or potential partnership
