Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Associate – Litigation to lead and manage a portfolio of complex commercial disputes. You’ll work alongside experienced Directors, contribute to key legal strategies, and handle files with autonomy — while also mentoring junior lawyers and playing a part in the continued growth of the team.

About the Firm:
  
Our client is a commercial law firm that advises across agribusiness, mining services, food production, and transport. This is a progressive, people-focused environment where collaboration is key, and lawyers are supported to grow professionally within a flexible and tech-forward workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic, practical advice across a range of commercial disputes
  • Draft clear and concise legal documents, including advice, pleadings, and correspondence
  • Conduct legal research and assess evidence to support case direction
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships across key industry sectors
  • Mentor and support junior lawyers within the litigation team
  • Participate in business development and contribute to practice growth
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years PAE in commercial litigation
  • Experience across both advisory and litigation matters
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and client-facing skills
  • Ability to lead matters independently while working collaboratively
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial judgement
  • Confident using legal tech and open to process innovation
  • Admitted to practise law in Australia with valid working rights
