Job Description

About the Opportunity:

Our client is a well-established boutique practice based in Sydney’s Lower North Shore. With a loyal client base and a reputation built over decades, our client is known for practical advice, a down-to-earth approach, and a genuinely supportive team environment across property, commercial, litigation, family and estates.

On offer: Our client offers an environment where mid-level lawyers can genuinely progress:
  • Competitive salary package aligned with experience | $120,000 -$135,000 ex super (This is a guide range)
  • Realistic budgets and achievable targets
  • Close mentoring and hands-on development from senior practitioners
  • Dedicated senior legal secretary support to reduce admin load
  • Friendly, inclusive culture with a stable team and long-term client base
  • Full-time or part-time (minimum 4 days/week)
  • Hybrid working arrangement available after probation
About the position:

Our client is looking for a capable Propertylawyer (3–5 years PAE) to join our clients' team and build depth across Commercial and Property Law in a role that offers both variety and structure.

You’ll work closely with experienced senior practitioners who enjoy mentoring, while also being encouraged to take ownership of matters and develop your confidence with clients. With direct support from an experienced senior legal secretary, you can stay focused on the legal work that matters—drafting, advising and negotiating—rather than being bogged down in administration.

Your work will typically include:
  • Residential conveyancing matters (often through to exchange), including contract reviews and advice
  • Commercial and retail leasing (acting for landlords and tenants)
  • Property transactions, due diligence, amendments and negotiations
  • Business sales and purchases, heads of agreement and key commercial documents
  • General commercial advisory work for SME and long-term clients
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys relationship-based practice, wants to sharpen their drafting and negotiation skills, looking for a stable, professional home with clear pathways for growth.

Key Requirements:
  • 3–5 years PAE in Property Law
  • Solid drafting and contract review skills (leases and sale contracts ideal)
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail; ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Confident communicator who can build trust with clients and referrers
  • Proactive mindset and willingness to learn, take feedback, and step up
