Property Disputes Lawyer, Sydney, 4-5 PAE. Complex leasing disputes, strong clients, flexible culture, $150,000-$185,000 + super.
A standout opportunity for a 4–5 PAE disputes lawyer who wants stronger property disputes work, better client exposure and a more supportive long-term platform.
This Sydney role sits within a specialist property disputes team in a national commercial firm and offers the combination many candidates want: quality matters, visible responsibility, good people and real flexibility.
You’ll work on complex property and leasing disputes for a strong commercial client base. That includes listed and multinational corporations, shopping centre owners and landlords, property funds and developers.
Why you'll love it here - You’ll be involved in multifaceted property and leasing disputes in a busy practice where good lawyers tend to keep learning.
- It is a growing group, which creates room for a capable mid-level lawyer to take ownership, stay close to clients and mentor less experienced lawyers.
- The firm offers flexible working arrangements, purchased leave, career breaks, study leave, professional development support, wellbeing initiatives and a modern, people-focused environment. It has also been recognised for employer experience and gender equality.
- The package for this role is $150,000–$185,000 + super, aligned to the current Sydney market for a strong 4–5 PAE disputes lawyer.

- Drafting pleadings and evidence
- Research and legal analysis
- Client management

- Managing deadlines across multiple active matters
This is a role with both quality and momentum.
What you'll bring
You’ll have around 4–5 years’ post-admission experience in a well-regarded disputes practice.
Property disputes experience is ideal, but strong broader disputes capability will also be valuable.
You’ll likely bring:
- Experience across disputes, ideally including property disputes
- Court experience
- Significant drafting experience in evidence and pleadings
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and client skills
- The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
