About the Position Looking to pick up an additional couple of days each week without committing to a full-time role?

Our client is looking for an experienced Locum Dental Hygienist to assist approximately 2 days per week initially.

This opportunity could be an excellent fit if you're already working part-time, managing multiple locum engagements or looking for more flexibility in your professional schedule.

Preferred working days:

• Tuesday and Wednesday (first preference)
• Tuesday and Thursday
• Wednesday and Thursday

As there will be no Dental Assistant allocated to the role, applicants must be confident handling clinical duties independently, including room preparation, instrument management and infection control.
Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Providing routine hygiene appointments, including scaling and polishing
• Performing periodontal assessments and maintenance treatments
• Delivering oral hygiene education and preventive dental care
• Providing fluoride treatments and personalised oral health recommendations
• Managing appointments and treatment room turnaround independently
• Ensuring compliance with clinical and infection control procedures

Key Requirements

• Current AHPRA registration as a Dental Hygienist
• Experience working in an Australian dental practice
• Ability to perform hygiene treatments independently
• Confidence managing clinical appointments without chairside support
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time-management skills
• Availability to work approximately 2 days weekly
