A highly boutique commercial law practice in Sydney CBD

My exclusive client is a compact, specialist Sydney CBD boutique firm on Castlereagh Street, delivering premium, tailored advice to major corporations, businesses, developers, contractors, and individuals.

The firms' expertise spans commercial & corporate law, M&A, construction & infrastructure, IP, competition & consumer law, dispute resolution/litigation, property, and more.

With a small, close-knit team (Principal Director, Senior Associate, 3 junior lawyers + practice manager), you get direct involvement, real responsibility from day one, and rapid skill development in a collaborative, hands-on environment.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive Junior Commercial Lawyer (2+ years PAE) who is self-starting, independent, and eager to handle both advisory and litigation work without needing constant supervision.Reporting to the Principal in this lean, dynamic team, you will gain broad, interesting exposure including:

• Advisory on commercial transactions, contracts, M&A, IP, corporate matters, and construction projects
• Litigation and dispute resolution in commercial, construction, and related areas
• Drafting advice, agreements, pleadings, and client correspondence
• Direct client engagement and full file ownership
• Working on varied, high-quality matters across business and property sectors

This is an ideal role for a capable junior lawyer wanting meaningful hands-on experience, autonomy, and strong foundational growth to position for future career steps. 

About You

• Admitted in NSW with 2+ years PAE in commercial law (mix of advisory and/or disputes preferred)
• Self-motivated and able to work independently – no babysitting required
• Solid drafting, analytical, and commercial acumen
• Confident communicator ready for direct client interaction
• Thrives in a small, supportive boutique where you can make an immediate impact

Salary and features of this position: 

• $95,000 - $130,000 Salary Range (2-4 PAE)
