Senior Associate | Insurance Litigation
 
This is a strong step for a Senior Associate who wants more than routine defence work. You'll join a well-established national insurance team and work across property damage, marine, recoveries and personal injury matters, with the backing of a respected broader platform. Salary sits at $170,000 to $200,000 + super. You'll have day-to-day conduct of files and genuine input into strategy. That includes early advice, pleadings, expert engagement, negotiations, mediations, conferences and strategic decision-making across litigated and pre-litigated claims. The work is varied, technical and commercially relevant. It is particularly well suited to a litigator who enjoys complex insurance disputes, high-value recovery actions and matters that call for sharp analysis and practical judgment.

About the role
 
You will manage your own files and keep matters moving confidently.

Your work is likely to include:

• providing initial liability and quantum advice
• drafting pleadings and key correspondence
• briefing and liaising with experts
• running negotiations, mediations and conferences
• advising on litigated and pre-litigated strategy
• contributing to strong client relationships
• supporting junior lawyers as the team grows

What you'll bring
 
You will be an experienced litigator with a background in property damage, marine, recoveries and/or personal injury matters.
You'll also be comfortable running files, advising clearly and dealing directly with clients.
