Our client is a boutique commercial law firm based in Sydney's CBD fringe, known for practical, fixed-fee advice to small and medium businesses. With their Director stepping back to focus on business operations, they are seeking an experienced Litigation Lawyer to take the reins of an already well-supported team on a permanent basis.

Salary Range and benefits of this role: 

• $150K-$180K salary range, reflecting your seniority and the leadership nature of the role

About the role:

You'll step into a leadership position over a well-established litigation practice, taking carriage of a caseload spanning commercial disputes, contract and partnership disputes, shareholder and director disputes, and employment litigation, with a strong emphasis on resolving matters efficiently before they progress to court.

• Running litigation files end to end, from initial advice through to resolution or court proceedings
• Leading and mentoring a 4 PAE lawyer, a graduate lawyer and two paralegals
• Advising SME and corporate clients on commercial, contractual and shareholder/director disputes
• Handling employment litigation matters, including strategic defence and resolution
• Contributing to the firm's resolution-first approach, settling matters efficiently ahead of court
• Acting as a key client-facing presence for the litigation team

What you'll bring:

• Minimum 7+ years PAE in litigation or dispute resolution
• Current unrestricted NSW practising certificate
• Demonstrated experience running files autonomously and mentoring junior lawyers
• Strong commercial litigation and/or employment litigation background
• Comfortable stepping into a leadership role within an existing team
• Ability to work the hybrid arrangement (2 days WFH weekly) from Sydney
