Our client is a national commercial law firm where lawyers are judged on outcomes, not hours recorded. They are hiring a Disputes & Litigation Lawyer with around 4 to 6 years' post-admission experience to run their own caseload for a national client base of financiers, recovery agents and corporate clients. This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid role based in Melbourne CBD, and candidates in Sydney, Brisbane or Perth will also be considered.

About the role
You will run your own caseload from first instructions through to resolution, acting for equipment and property financiers, debt and asset recovery agents and corporate clients across the country.

• Manage files end to end, including your own court appearances and mediations, with support behind you
• Act in financier disputes, debt and asset recovery, motor vehicle and property insurance disputes, insolvency and commercial disputes
• Help retain and grow client relationships alongside your file work
• Support and mentor paralegals and junior members of the team

What you'll bring

• 4 to 6+ years' post-admission experience in litigation and a current Australian practising certificate
• Exposure to financiers, debt recovery, insurers or corporate clients
• The ability to manage files autonomously, including your own appearances
• A commercial, outcomes-focused approach to advice
• Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to build client relationships
• A collaborative mindset motivated by team results
