The organisation isn't replacing clinicians and rebuilding its team. They're adding to an established workforce because demand continues to grow
- Full-time permanent opportunity
- Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner or above
- Established referrals and growing participant demand
- Mixed adult and paediatric caseload
- Clinic, home and community-based service delivery
- Strong multidisciplinary environment
- Work alongside Psychology, OT, Speech Pathology, Physiotherapy and other Allied Health professionals
- Opportunity to shape your caseload around your experience
- Growing service with further expansion planned
If you're an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner who enjoys having autonomy but doesn't want to work in isolation, this is an opportunity worth considering.
You'll be joining an established multidisciplinary allied health organisation in Western Sydney that supports NDIS participants across a broad range of services.
Rather than Behaviour Support operating as a completely separate service, you'll have access to clinicians across
Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Physiotherapy and other allied health disciplines when participants require more collaborative support.
An Established Caseload: Not Starting From Zero. The organisation already has strong NDIS referral pathways and an existing participant network.
They're looking to grow their Behaviour Support offering and want an experienced
Proficient Practitioner or above who can confidently manage their own caseload while contributing to the continued development of the service.
You'll work across a mixture of
paediatric and adult participants, with scope to discuss your preferred population and areas of interest.
Your Behaviour Support Caseload The organisation supports participants with a wide range of behavioural, emotional and functional needs.
Your work can involve:
- Positive Behaviour Support
- Behaviour assessment and intervention
- Emotional regulation
- Anxiety, frustration and stress management
- Changes in routines and transitions
- Building practical coping strategies
- Social and communication development
- Community participation
- Daily living skills and independence
- Positive relationship development
- Participant-centred assessments
- Goal-focused Behaviour Support planning
- Supporting challenges across home, school, work and community settings
- Monitoring progress and adapting strategies over time
- Working closely with families, carers and support workers
The focus is on developing practical strategies that can actually be implemented within the participant's everyday environment rather than producing plans that simply sit on a file.
Work With the People Around the Participant. One of the major advantages of this opportunity is access to a broader clinical team.
A participant you're supporting may also be accessing Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology or another allied health discipline within the same organisation.
This creates opportunities to communicate directly with clinicians involved in the participant's care, particularly where behaviour may be influenced by:
- Communication difficulties
- Sensory needs
- Emotional regulation
- Functional capacity
- Environmental factors
- Daily living challenges
- Physical or mobility needs
You'll also work collaboratively with
families, carers, support workers and other professionals to create strategies that can be used consistently across the participant's environments.
Adults + Paediatrics: The organisation supports participants across different ages and stages of life.
This means you don't necessarily have to choose between becoming solely an adult or solely paediatric BSP.
Your caseload can provide exposure across both, or potentially be shaped more heavily towards the population that best suits your experience.
For someone who enjoys variety, this can provide a broader mix of presentations without needing to change organisations to develop experience in another area.
Flexible Service Delivery: Behaviour Support can be delivered across the participant's:
- Home
- School
- Workplace
- Community
- Clinic environment
The organisation already operates a combination of clinic, mobile, home and community-based services, allowing support to be delivered where it is most relevant to the participant.
Join a Proper MDT. This isn't simply a Behaviour Support company with occasional external Allied Health involvement.
You'll be joining an organisation providing multiple clinical disciplines internally.
The broader team includes services across:
- Occupational Therapy
- Speech Pathology
- Psychology
- Physiotherapy
- Exercise Physiology
- Allied Health Assistance
For a Behaviour Support Practitioner, that means there is an opportunity to understand the participant from several perspectives rather than working on behaviour in isolation.
Who They're Looking For: They're specifically looking for a Behaviour Support Practitioner who is currently assessed at
Proficient level or above.
You'll ideally be someone who:
- Can manage a Behaviour Support caseload with confidence
- Has experience within the NDIS
- Is comfortable working with participants, families and support teams
- Can complete high-quality assessments and Behaviour Support Plans
- Understands the importance of practical, person-centred strategies
- Communicates well with Support Coordinators and broader stakeholder networks
- Enjoys multidisciplinary collaboration
- Works autonomously without becoming disconnected from the team
- Is ethical, personable and reliable
- Wants to become part of a growing Allied Health service long-term
They're looking for someone with strong clinical capability, but
team fit matters just as much.
The organisation wants someone collaborative, approachable and willing to contribute to the wider team rather than someone who simply manages their own caseload in isolation.
